We're still on hold but things are looking up. The weather is improving some, now the issue is clearing the run-way of the snow that has accumulated so that it is once agin the "blue-ice" runway we need for a safe landing. The Illyushin 76 aircraft is equipped with wheels not skis. Landing on snow would not be possible. Anyway, we're cautiously optimistic of a flight south sometime in the next 36-48 hours.
In the meatime, we thought you'd enjoy another shot from the Magellanic penguin colony. This mother and her chicks were too cute to pass up.
Best wishes from all of us down south,
Team Polar Opposites

Wow - what an adventure. Sach passed on your blog URL and I am thrilled by what I am reading. I am going to pass this on to my children so they can share in the adventure as well. Best of luck on the weather and I look forward to further updates from the team.
