Last 5 miles!
Lat S 89.55.027 Long W 88.27.342
We can see structures now. We travelled another 6 miles closer to our goal. Assuming the weather holds, we'll be there tomorrow.
The temps were -30 F....but, who's counting? Cold is cold. Winds and low visibility made for tough navigating again, but we managed to stay on a straight line for the pole.
Ingrid, from Chollas-Mead elementary has asked if we sing when we're bored. Well, today Jennifer serenaded us through a couple of marches. It was quite nice and made the miles go a little faster.
Hamburger and mushroom surprise for dinner.
Blog from the South Pole tomorrow! Maybe a picture if the batteries hold out!
