Antartica

We're here! It was quite a journey, but well worth it. Absolutely breathtaking. Landed just as a 40+mph gust hit, but our pilots handled it skillfully. Took over 60 seconds to stop....it was quite a ride.

We're getting our gear sorted to take off for the pole. More later...

Hey kid, you are living a life that most of us mere mortals only dream of. Who would have known when you first put on skis and used the rope tow on the Bunny run at Pomerelle that it would begin a journey which would lead to Anarctica.

Grandpa Braegger would have had his chest pushed out as far as possible when he told people of his grand-daughter. Grandma Braegger would be proud also, but would be shaking her head in disbelief.

All My Love, Pop

Kathy, Superb!! Your dad and mom were so right in saying how proud both of your grandfathers would be! Those of us living are equally as proud and in awe. Love you and good luck, Aunt Ruth

Congrats KB, I still get tears in my eyes when you go on these silly trips. I'll have to dust off the globe tonight to really see where you crazy girls are at this time, at -18 degrees. I still talk to Miller everyday and he assures me that he is watching over you from his polar opposite (aka.. the Moon if you don't remember).... Love and Warmth from the Hood-

I think I was holding a collective breath as we waited to hear. Some of my students said "yes" when they heard you guys made it. Funny, that's what I said when I read the blog at 6 a.m. this morning. Be careful and enjoy every second. Good luck to your whole team.
